Ableton Live | Turning found sounds into a drum kit Part 2

In this video I use the drum rack instrument to quickly and easily take
chunks out of an audio file, tweaking them into glitchy and abstract drum sounds.

I hope these videos aren’t too dull to watch. I had to make a choice: Take far more time editing the videos down immensely, or keep in most of the detail in the process. I chose to keep the video more intact and longer because I created these videos for people who, like me, enjoy watching the whole process of sound creation.

This is part 2 of a 3 video set on creating the drum kit. The next videos after those will move onto the stage of coming up with a beat, processing the drum sounds with effects, and then eventually using the slice to midi feature in live to do some hip-hop style chopping to the glitchy beats. At the end of the process, I will have some beats and drum sounds to use on the album I am currently putting together. I hope you enjoy watching!
