How did Music Tech Tutorials come about?

Although I already had a good knowledge of how computer generated music was created, it wasn’t until early 2009 when I decided that I wanted to learn more about the technical aspects that are involved in music production. With a full time music technology course on the horizon in September; I wanted to make sure that I was more than prepared for my future career.

One of the first questions I had to ask myself was; “Whereabouts will I find the information I need to help take me onto the next level?” The obvious answer was to do a quick search online for a good site that offers tutorials on everything music tech. I mean, look at the size of the internet how hard could it be?! Well, after doing a lot of searching, I soon realised that there wasn’t any particular site that was dedicated to providing music tech tutorials. There were some excellent tutorials out there but they were all scattered around meaning that I had to jump from one site to another in order to find the right tutorial which, took up a lot of time. I also quickly discovered that I was saving bookmark after bookmark on different tutorials, meaning that it was just as slow searching through the enormous and by this time, confusing list as it was to search Google… if only there was one site I could go to that provided the lot..

Light bulb time!

Why not create a single site that links to all the great music tech tutorials that are out there?! All the posts will be hand edited, in correct sections with all of the relating tags so that you can find them in a matter of seconds. Sweet!

The site will be updated with new tutorials every day, so please remember to make one easy bookmark and pass the link onto your friends or anybody that you know who is wanting to get into any aspect of the music business. Since we started on August 29th 2009, our site has seen a rapid rate of growth and to this day we continue to attract more and more visitors as our popularity expands throughout the community of future producers and DJ’s.

Please use the “Contact Us” option at the top of the page if there is any kind of tutorial that you’d like us to include and we’d be happy to assist.

We hope that you all enjoy the site and find it useful.
