Ok, just when you thought Garageband was a very simple programme, and there was nothing left to learn, complex automation comes along and steals the show! What is automation? Well, if you don’t already know, automation in music programming terms means ‘a mechanical device, operated electronically, that functions automatically, without continuous input from an operator.’ to quote the dictionary…sounds complex? It’s actually very simple, and once set-up, will save you allot of time. All the biggest tracks you here in the charts have many automations, fx, swooshes, filters, EQ’s…you can automate anything!
